Identifying the problems
Most ironing boards take up a lot of space and are heavy and cumbersome to lift and set up. They typically get stored behind wardrobes and cupboard doors, often poking out and making spaces feel cluttered.
Many people need an ironing solution that enables them to quickly set up and iron a few pieces, and then quickly put the board away again.
Devising the solution – the ideation phase
With Glide, we wanted to create an easy set-up solution that would fold as compactly as possible for smooth ironing and easy storage, no matter how big your home.
Glide 2 is our next generation, easy-store ironing board that makes set up even simpler. With an updated integrated iron rest, innovative easy-open handle, integrated hanging loop for steaming, dedicated hanging hook, new cover pattern and colours, and a more compact storage form than other boards because the legs fold neatly at one end.
