"I wanted a food waste caddy that would eliminate smells - so far, the filter seems to be working well. The caddy is also easier to use than the one provided by the local council, as the liner does not get trapped in the mechanism of the handle. If I had the caddy out on the worktop, I would prefer an inner container which could lift out completely and would hide the part of the biodegradable liner that shows over the lip - but as mine is stashed in a cupboard, I'm happy with this design. It is a little smaller than the standard council issue - but that prompts emptying more frequently, which (again) makes the chance of unpleasant smells less likely - so I see this as an advantage."

"It looks great, I can’t smell an odour from it when closed, I was hoping this would mean it keeps the pesky fruit flies away! I only saw a couple sitting on the lid so thought it was mostly successful, however I opened to put some in and it was FULL of fruit flies. They must get in through the vent etc."

"The caddy itself is great. Easy to use and clean, however one issue is letting it down. It’s not fly proof. Fruit flies can get in Larger flies like blue bottles etc lay their larvae on the edge of the lid. It’s not pleasant"
