"Sadly our bin lid only managed to last for a year and a half before breaking considering the price of this bin and the cost of a new lid I expected more from this."

"Had to buy a replacement bin lid. £45 is a bit ridiculous considering the catch on the last one failed. For such expensive products they should be built more robustly. Delivery of the product took almost 10 days from placing the order online as they delayed dispatch. Really poor customer service, When other companies can do 24 / 48 hour delivery this was ridiculous."

"We have been very pleased with our JJ Totem bin but after 10 years (?) the catch has broken. Unfortunately, the catch is not supplied separately: one has to purchase the complete lid at £45. I have tried for a couple of months to obtain a stone-coloured lid but this has been unavailable and finally I have had to buy a (dark) grey one and put up with the clash of tones."

"This is the second replacement lid we have bought for our old kitchen bin. The bin is great - but the spring-action lid depends on a small plastic part that breaks after a year or two of daily use. It seems really wasteful to replace the entire lid each time just because a tiny plastic part has broken, but sadly that appears to be the only option - and I suppose it's still better than replacing the entire bin!"
